Christine Ekman

Christine founded EvolveAdaptSurvive in 1999 and has been actively assisting a wide range of startups to large business over the last nine years on a consulting basis.  She has been involved in market positioning, strategic planning, technology assessment, business development and corporate acquisition in the networking industry for over 20 years.

In her consulting role, Christine has performed a wide range of consulting projects including:

  • Marketing plan development
  • Sales and Channel strategy/plan development
  • Business and technology due diligence
  • Competitive assessment and recommendations
  • New product strategy development
  • Fund raising for start ups

Before founding EvolveAdaptSurvive, Christine worked for NBI, US WEST !nterprise Network Services, Bay Networks, and Nortel Networks (with Bay’s acquisition).

Bay Networks/Nortel
Director of Business Development, Mergers and Acquisitions
Responsible for driving evaluation of cable modem and wireless LAN technologies.  Initiated and managed the acquisitions Lancity and Netwave Technologies.  Established partnerships with TCI, U S WEST Media Group, TeleWest (UK), Optis (Australia) and @HOME (Palo Alto, CA).
Established strategic Partnership/OEM agreement with Ipivot for SSL load balancing technology,(Intel / IPIVOT).

US WEST
Christine held a variety of engineering, technical product marketing, strategy development, and business development roles at US WEST. Her experience included the following roles:

  • Director of Product and marketing strategy for US WEST's high-speed Data over Cable services and US WEST xDSL services.
  • Director Market and Strategy Development for Data over Cable HFC plant
  • Customer Data network design engineer for US WEST Interprise - . Clients included, Ball Aerospace, First Bank of Colorado, Exabyte Corporation, and Vail Ski Resorts
  • And US WEST Communications Internal Network Design at US West Advanced Technologies Facility.
Ms. Ekman has completed the course work towards her M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder (thesis pending), and a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Telecommunications Engineering Program at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
